tbh this whole incident brings me back to a few years ago when some people i knew sent a video of a mentally handicapped man that resembled jon, and all laughed at having an episode, throwing things, and obviously suffering.

it wasn’t funny.

and even today, if jon was “jokingly” calling something the r word, its not funny. its not a joke. he was using it as an every day word to describe something unpleasant, not as a joke.

i understand though, because a lot of people have normalized that word, and sometimes people don’t understand the severity it can have on others. but the way he handled it was shitty. he could’ve apologized, he could’ve simply ignored the reply, but he didn’t. he chose to go out of his way to make someone even more uncomfortable, and thats what makes what he did such a poor fucking choice.

now i like jon. generally i’ve gotten a pleasant, sympathetic vibe from him, but i’ve lost a lot of respect for him. he handled this situation fucking awfully, and its hard for me to enjoy anything made by someone who lacks compassion for others, especially those without the benefit of being fully able.
