There were a few things Robin learned during his time here. A few little things that could be used in battle and some life lessons as well.
One thing he did learn, once he started courting Lucina, was how dead he would be if Chrom ever caught them together.
It was probably a bad idea to even keep their relationship a secret at all and to be fair they only did that so he wouldn’t stress another thing to stress over.
He already had the end of the world to stress over; he didn’t need to be stressing over his best friend courting his daughter from the future.
They weren’t doing such a bad job at hiding it. They tried their best to keep a professional look when around camp, so no one would say anything. They kept their flirting in secret, when they knew Chrom wouldn’t barge in on them. The two did everything they could to hide it.
There was also that one time Robin had to climb out of Lucina’s window in order to avoid meeting Chrom after spending the night with her, but he doesn’t like to talk about that experience.
“We really should tell him soon,” Lucina said as she sat down next to the tactician. They had decided to spend the day together, in secret, and were now relaxing in Robin’s tent.
“Sure, and later on you can plan out my funereal.” He simply gave her a look, and sadly the joke went over Lucina’s head. He knew she didn’t get it when she gave him a worried look. As much as he loved her, she really needed to get better at taking jokes.
“He won’t actually kill you!” There was a small pause. “I think. I mean, I know he has a temper, but…”
Robin wrapped his arms around the smaller girl, pulling her into his lap. “We’ll tell him soon. Right now, he doesn’t need that kind of stress in his life. Besides…” A grin formed on his face as he leaned in. “We left off somewhere and I’d really like to get back to that soon.”
Lucina gave a soft laugh as she leaned in as well, closing the distance between the two. It had been so long since they could be like this, and it certainly showed. Robin wasted no time deepening the kiss, letting his hand trail down her back slowly.
Shivers went down her spine as she gave him a gentle push down on the mattress. Somewhere during their passionate kiss, Robin’s coat had slipped off of him and fell on to the ground.
He broke the kiss, his hand placed on her backside. “I love you,” he whispered as he trailed down from her lips to her neck. Once she felt his tongue brush against her skin, a gasp left her mouth followed by a soft moan when he started to suck on her delicate skin.
However, all that passion was broke when they heard a voice outside of the tent.
“Robin? Are you in?”
Realizing that Chrom was the owner of the voice, the two managed to pry themselves off of each other, fixing their clothes and what not to look presentable ( and not suspicious at all. Something that said, “No Chrom, I was not about to have sexual affairs with your daughter just now. What made you think that?” )
“Yeah, come in.” His voice shook a bit as he answered. Gods, if Chrom found out what they were about to do, he would be so dead.
Followed by Lucina’s brother Inigo, Chrom entered. He was about to say something when he noticed his daughter sitting next to his faithful tactician. Doing a quick double take, he looked back at Robin. “What’s Lucina doing here?”
“Studying,” Robin quickly answered. “Um, she wanted to know more about what I do and… Yeah.”
Inigo just shook his head, knowing that the excuse has half-assed, but lucky for all of them, Chrom wasn’t the brightest star in the sky sometimes. He took the answer, nodding his head.
“Right, I hope she’s learning a lot from you.” Inigo started to mumble something, which he quickly covered up when he saw the look Lucina threw at him. “Well, I wanted to tell you that we would be marching soon.” With that said he turned on his heel and walked off. Once he was out of sight, the prince simply started to laugh at the two.
“Yeah, studying alright,” he said in between laughs. “I can’t’ believe he actually brought that!” Inigo wiped his eyes as tears started to form. Lucina glared at her younger brother, about to throw a pillow at him when Robin opened his mouth to speak.
“Yeah, she was studying.” A smug smile spread onto his face, which made Inigo stop laughing. “She was learning quite a lot. I say she’s a pretty good student.”
A bright blush was on the girl’s face as she turned away. Inigo had his own blush forming, quickly glaring at her sister’s lover with a look of disgust.
“Really, I don’t need to know what you two do in here alone.”
Robin simply waved his hand as the younger male turned around to leave. Lucina sighed a breath of relief, “That was way too close.”
“You’re telling me.” He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her close as he pressed his lips against the top of her head. “I guess we’re going to have to postpone this for now.”
At least his death was postponed too.
