Anonymous ;   I don't understand why people are naming such a big deal about the continent Fates takes place in. It wasn't named for Awakening either except for Valm which only takes care of half the gams. Why do people care so much now?

But it did have a continent name in Awakening, it was Ylisse which was previously Akaneia. And every other Fire Emblem game had a continent name. So its a shame that it is left out now. Thats why I care so much.

Ylisse was the country the Chrom hailed from. Like how Feroxi was a country and Plegia was a country. The continent wasn’t named. Unless you count that is was Akaniea from Marth’s games.it is a same that Fates continent wasn’t named though.

The continent shares the name with the country.

Okay, sorry for bugging you, but you’re saying that Ylisse is the continent name too? And that Ferox is on Ylisse and next to Ylisse?? That doesn’t seem right to me?? Please elaborate??

theres ylisse the continent and then theres the halidom of ylisse which is the country. ferox is on ylisse the continent because its a country there, like how the halidom of ylisse is a country on ylisse.
